How to make Homemade Healthy Granola (Without an oven option too)

Updated: May 9, 2021

I love my granola in milk when I am in a hurry in the morning or when I crave something sweet but want to stay away from sugar at night.

So here’s my easy and healthy granola recipe. I have posted for both with oven and without oven. My mom loves granola but couldn't figure out how to make it without an oven so here it's for all of you without an oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup of chopped or sliced mixed nuts- I used almonds and walnuts, you can add pecans too.

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 3 cups of oats- you can use either steel-cut or roll

  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil-I love the coconut taste in my granola

  • 1/2 cup of maple/agave.

  • AFTER BAKING TOPPINGS

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions (For Oven)

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F.

  • Line your baking tray with a parchment paper or cookie sheet will work too.

  • Mix all the ingredient except the toppings. Stir well with coconut milk and agave syrup.

  • Spread the mix well onto the baking tray.

  • Bake at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes. Once done let it cool for another 30 minutes and then add your dried fruits like raisins, cranberries, chocolate chips

  • P.S. I like my raisins roasted with the oats so I added it with the other ingredients but you can add after your baking process is done.

  • Enjoy it with milk or as a topping on your smoothie bowl.

Instructions (For no oven)

  • Roast nuts until you can smell the aromatic nutty flavor or till they turn slight brown one by one and keep. Make sure you are roasting on medium heat. Once you are done with roasting nuts; Empty into a mixing bowl.

  • Add coconut oil and roast the oats until they turn brown on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Turn off the heat and now add your agave/maple/honey.

  • Mix in the roasted nuts and dried cranberries, chocolate chips whatever you like. You can store them in a tightly packed container for a month.
