This is one of my favorite recipes of all time when it comes to Cauliflower. It is healthy, vegan, and you can combine it with your tacos or make a salad or make a vegan mayo and dip into it.⠀
Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower; chopped into bite-size pieces⠀
1/2 cup milk (vegans use almond or soy)- You can also use buttermilk instead
1/4 cup water⠀
1 cup all-purpose flour can sub gluten-free rice flour⠀
1/4 tsp salt⠀
2 tsp garlic powder⠀
1/4 tsp ground pepper⠀
1/2 tsp honey
Non-stick cooking spray/butter⠀
1/2 cup any hot sauce/ Buffalo hot sauce
Instructions⠀
⠀
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with the cooking spray.⠀
⠀
2. Mix the milk/water/flour and spices in a medium mixing bowl (set aside the hot sauce and butter for later). Mix until the batter is thick and is able to coat the cauliflower without dripping. Dip cauliflower pieces in the batter. Give a quick shake to remove excess batter and place it on your baking sheet.⠀
⠀
4. Bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes, then flip with a spatula and bake for an additional 5 minutes. The batter should be hardened but not crispy.⠀
⠀
5. While the cauliflower is baking, get your buffalo wing sauce ready. In a small saucepan with low heat, melt butter, and mix in hot sauce. Remove from the heat just as it starts to melt. Stir together and set aside.⠀
⠀
6. After the cauliflower has baked for 15 minutes total, brush the hot sauce mixture onto each piece of cauliflower. Make sure to get all sides.⠀
⠀
7. Bake the sauce-coated cauliflower for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is crispy.⠀
⠀
8. Remove from oven.⠀
⠀
9. Let the cauliflower wings cool for about 2 minutes. Serve on a plate or serving tray, not in a bowl. Otherwise, they may get soggy.⠀
Add these cauliflower wings to make tasty vegan tacos. Top with some Mayo.
